Art of Flight Web Game Helps You Kill Time While Waiting For Snow

Red Bull Media and The Art of FLIGHT released a web game on ArtofFLIGHTmovie.com today, helping you whittle away the hours while you wait for the season to start. Don’t worry, we won’t tell your boss!
It’s no Angry Birds, but the game is a surprisingly fun time waster. Two levels are available now, a bluebird day in the Alps and a night session under the Aurora (Northern Lights) in Alaska. Controls are simple and use the arrow keys, and there’s already some competitive scores being posted in the leaderboards.

The Art of Flight calls “Dropping Next”

The Art of Flight premiered last night in NYC at the Beacon Theatre, and the entire cast and crew was there to see it. It was also attended by all sorts of celebrities, and made headlines all over the place because of it. If you, like us, weren’t among the lucky 3,000 to see it on the red carpet, you can order the DVD and BluRay special edition on Amazon: Art of Flight DVD BD

Jackson Hole, WY (Fall 2009) – Teton Gravity Research in partnership with snowboard athlete Jeremy Jones is proud to announce the trailer release of Deeper – a new big mountain snowboard film featuring Jones with a handpicked group of elite riders including Jonaven Moore, Travis Rice and Xavier De La Rue, who set out to conquer the best lines without the limited assistance of snowmobiles, helicopters or lifts.

TransWorld hosted their 10th annual Riders’ Poll Awards at The Joint in the Hard Rock Casino on Wednesday, January 28th. January 29, 2009 – Quiksilver team-rider Travis Rice cleans up at the 2009 Transworld SNOWboarding Riders’ Poll Awards presented by GORE-TEX® taking home four honors including Men’s Rider of the Year, Reader’s Choice for Men’s Rider of the Year, Men’s Video Part of the Year and Standout of the Year. A virtual sweep at the Riders’ Poll comes in the midst of a big month for the 25-year-old.

“Snowboarding comes from the kids making it possible – it’s all about you,” Rice said from the podium after winning his second award of the night. “Thanks to Red Bull and Quiksilver for believing what we say and helping us to make it happen.” On receiving his final honor of the night, Men’s Rider of the Year, an award voted on by his peers in snowboarding, Rice graciously honored them back by listing off the many contributions other riders have made to snowboarding this year.
