Early Season Storm Continues to Dump Snow at Kirkwood
0Winter is on the Way! The Sierra’s lightest and driest powder continues to fall on Kirkwood Mountain Resort. An additional 4 inches fell Wednesday, and over a foot has been recorded in early season snowfall. Two more storms are forecasted this week. Heavenly to Serve Natural Meats and Organic Dairy this Season
0South Lake Tahoe, CA/NV—Oct. 10, 2007—Heavenly Mountain Resort announced today it will be satisfying its guests Appetite For Life by serving natural, hormone-free meats and poultry and organic dairy products in its seven on-mountain restaurants beginning the 2007-2008 ski season. As part the Good Food on a Grand Scale initiative under parent company Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN), Heavenly, along with Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone, will serve more meals made with natural meats and certified organic dairy products each year than any other restaurant operator in North America, and the effort will be the largest undertaking to offer these products in the travel industry. To accomplish this unprecedented effort, Vail Resorts has created the Good Food Partnership with Coleman Natural Foods LLC and WhiteWave Foods Company, maker of Horizon Organic® dairy products and Silk® soymilk products. New Flights to Reno Tahoe Make Heavenly More Accessible
0Skiers and snowboarders will be happy with the new flights, now traveling to Tahoe’s premier ski and snowboard destination has become easier than ever before. The addition of a direct flight to Reno from Baltimore/Washington D.C. through Chicago is due to launch this November. Heavenly Mountain Resort has become a more accessible destination with the addition of three new non-stop flights to Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RTIA) from San Diego, Bellingham, Wash. and Chicago Midway.
