We took the final day of SIA in Las Vegas pretty easy, wandering the show checking out booths we hadn’t met with and enjoying the last hours in Vegas. Here are a few more photos we gathered to finish off the trip. (more…)
SIA.09 – Snowboard Mag Party with DJ Muggs & Redman

The last party night of SIA in Vegas went full blast with Snowboard Magazine’s party with DJ Muggs (from Cypress Hill) and Redman at Body English in the Hard Rock Casino. The place was packed as DJ Muggs started it off with some insane beats. Muggs seriously rocked the house, probably the best live DJ I’ve seen perform. Redman came on a while later and played a great set to a stoked audience. Both performers put it all out there and really rocked the crowd. Thanks to Snowboard Magazine and the many sponsors of the show. (more…)
SIA.09 – Dakine

I always enjoy the tour through Dakine’s collection, and this year’s gear is a real treat; great colorways and some excellent refinements in their catalog. Girls will definitely love the black cheetah print available throughout the line. There are tons of little features and goodies in their packs, and I really came away impressed. (more…)

Day 3 at SIA.09 started off a little slow after the night of parting at the Riders’ Poll Awards and the Skullcandy concert, but that didn’t stop us from doing the rounds. SIA.09 – Mix Master Mike and Snoop Dogg

After the Riders’ Poll Awards we headed over to the Palms Casino for the Snoop Dogg and Mix Master Mike concert hosted by Skullcandy. Mix Master Mike started it off with his signature style, and then Snoop came on and ripped it for a little while. Thanks to Skullcandy for the great show! (more…)
SIA.09 – 10th Annual TransWorld Riders’ Poll Awards

One of the huge red carpet events of the snowboard world took place during SIA.09. TransWorld hosted their 10th annual Riders’ Poll Awards at The Joint in the Hard Rock Casino on Wednesday, January 28th. The attendance was a who’s who of the snowboard industry, with pros, industry people, media, and other guests, all gathered to see the results of Transworld’s poll. (more…)
SIA.09 – The Program (Forum, Special Blend, Foursquare)

Forum, Special Blend, and Foursquare, the brands that make up The Program had a great showing at SIA. There are hints of Burton technology trickling down through The Program, but the three brands are still holding on to their very unique character and style. Forum, Special Blend, and Foursquare have bright and colorful lines that really stand out for 2010, and of course, like most board companies at SIA, Forum added reverse camber to their snowboard lineup. In addition, Forum created a jointed baseplate to go hand in hand with reverse camber, designed to allow the board to flex through the binding. Board standouts would be the Youngblood with a great new look, and I think everyone got a kick out of the Bob Ross collab. The Program has a huge line of gear, and this is only a sampling of it, but there’s definitely a lot to look forward to for 2010. (more…)
SIA.09 – DC

After the big snowboard unveiling party last year, DC kept things pretty low key this year, but that doesn’t mean they brought a week showing to SIA. DC’s attention to style and integration between their various product lines really paid off this year with some great gear, from boards to boots to outerwear. The Mountain Lab line is an extraordinary collection, deserving particular mention for how clean it looks; also of note is that the boards come with a sticker pack so you can populate the Lab however you want.
