Chaos Headwear, Guest of Icelantic Boards to top the Heads at Living Legends Concert

This partnership will kick off with a crowd pleasing sampling of both the Icelantic branded headwear and Chaos headwear at the greatly anticipated Living Legends Concert During SIA 2010.

The concert, featuring hip-hop group, Living Legends, www.legendarymusic.net www.legendarymusic.net> will take place during the SnowSports Industries America (SIA) annual trade show to celebrate the first time the show has been held in Colorado. 2010 marks the first time in 37 years that the show has been held anywhere but Las Vegas, Nevada. Winners To Be Announced On Friday, January 29, 2010 In Denver, Colorado

The biggest night in snowboarding is coming to Denver! The 11th Annual TransWorld SNOWboarding Riders’ Poll Awards will be held at The Fillmore Auditorium in Downtown Denver, Friday, January 29, 2010 during the SIA trade show. The Riders’ Poll Awards honors snowboarding’s top riders-the winners are determined by polling more than 125 professional snowboarders worldwide. In addition, thousands of TransWorld SNOWboarding readers cast their votes for the winner of the Men’s and Women’s Reader’s Poll Award. This year, TransWorld will also return to honoring the legends of snowboarding with the Legend Award-past winners include Craig Kelly, Terry Kidwell, and Damien Sanders. This year, the Legend Award goes to backcountry pioneer, pro rider, Alaska guide, Tahoe local, and all around good guy-Tom Burt.
For the first time in history, this event will be open to the public. Come celebrate with us as the world’s best snowboarders cheer on the nominees for the biggest honor in snowboarding. (more…)

Sia Announces Free Lift Ticket Offer For Snow Show Attendees

SIA partners with Colorado Ski Country USA to give Show attendees a chance to “Ski the Best of Colorado.”

MCLEAN, Va. (October 13, 2009) – Earlier today, SIA announced a fantastic incentive for those heading to the first-ever Snow Show at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver (Jan. 28-31). In conjunction with Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA), SIA will provide Snow Show retailer attendees coupons for free lift tickets and 2 for 1 lift tickets for all other Show attendees to use three days before and/or three days after the Snow Show.

Registered Show attendees (pre-registration ends 12.17.09) will receive valuable coupons, along with their badges, entitling them to free or 2 for 1 lift tickets at participating Colorado Ski Country USA resorts (see details below). National Winter Get Out! Conference Brings Together Snow Sports Industry With P. E. And Recreation Professionals

Goal is to Engage Youth in Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding, Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing

McLean, VA. (October 6, 2009) – The first national winter Get Out! Conference is set for December 3-5, 2009 at the Gunstock and Margate Resorts near Laconia, NH. The focus is to show physical education and recreation professionals how to introduce youth to snow sports through schools and recreational organizations. Alpine skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing will be included. Approximately 150 people, representing 75,000 youths, are expected to attend. Snow sports industry professionals are welcome to attend as well. All early bird registrants are eligible to win a jacket from Columbia Sportswear or a pair of Nordic walking poles by Leki.
