These are not the groms you’re looking for
0If your kids are looking to hone their jedi skills this winter, look no further. Burton Snowboards and Lucasfilm just announced their limited edition Star Wars™ licensed collab board and gear for the 2012 season. The collaboration includes a full line of Star Wars themed Chopper mini snowboards, and best of all, an R2D2 helmet.

I think this helmet is long overdue. We’ve had just about every other possible helmet graphic, and lets be honest, who doesn’t want an R2D2 helmet? While you probably can’t get a kids XXXXL to fit your big melon, you can grab one for your favorite grom. The Avid is a year-round helmet, certified for use on snow, or while biking or skating. Plus, next time ski patrol is chasing your kids, you can just wave your hands, and in your best Alec Guinness voice say: “These are not the groms you’re looking for”

Brandon Hobush’s full part from “AMMO” now available
0It’s ThirtyTwo Thursday, and the 2nd video part from their AMMO am team movie is now up and killin’ it.
I have to interject that I love the new world of digital snowboard movies. I mean we’ve been headed there for a couple of years now, but for some reason it feels like companies are really embracing it this year. I remember paying $20-30 for snowboard films when I was growing up, and I had to carefully weigh which movies I wanted along with whatever other gear I actually needed that year. Usually this meant I’d pick up Mack Dawg’s film first, since it came with a soundtrack CD as well, and then grab TB whatever if I had the spare cash.
