Burton’s new film Standing Sideways just had it’s New York premiere in a packed house with more than 1,000 in attendance.. The whole crew from Burton was in attendance, with the pro roster including Terje Haakonsen, Mark Sollors, Mikey Rencz, Kazuhiro Kokubo, Danny Davis, Jack Mitrani, Mark McMorris, Mikkel Bang, Jussi Oksanen and Ethan Deiss on hand to shoot photos and sign autographs with fans. Falls Creek, Australia – August 21st, 2009: In the wake of the 5Star Burton New Zealand Open where minds were blown and snowboarding history was made in the halfpipe last week, riders will make the jump over to Australia for the 4Star Stylewars competition at Falls Creek. In its seventh year running, the Stylewars event will kick off on Monday, August 24th 2009 with three days of jam format competition on the massive slopestyle course where riders will be vying for the coveted Stylewars Grand Master title and one 4Star Swatch TTR result. Fans Say Yes To Big Airs From Travis Rice At Winter X Games 13

(Aspen, CO) January 23, 2009 — Judging from the cheering crowds at the base and the overwhelming 110,000 plus text-message votes, there was no question who was the decisive gold medal victor last night at the Winter X Games 13 Big Air Contest, none other than Quiksilver’s own Travis Rice.
In a four man contest, head-to-head format, each rider taking two runs, the Big Air Contest is decided entirely by fans’ text votes. Travis wowed the crowds and cameras with a few signature tricks, some seen in the recent “That’s It That’s All” film, including a ridiculous Double Backflip Backside 1080. With 92% of the votes in Travis’s favor for his first match-up and 78% in the final, fans said Yes to Travis Rice. (more…)

Burton Movie Tour Hits Denver on October 21

Burlington, VT (October 13, 2008) — Burton riders Keegan Valaika, Heikki Sorsa, Jeremy Jones, Trevor Andrew and Madison Ellsworth will be in Denver on Tuesday, October 21 to sign autographs, meet local riders and show the new Burton movie It’s Always Snowing Somewhere.
It’s Always Snowing Somewhere features scenes with the Burton team traveling the northern hemisphere, from Austria to Alaska. The movie features action footage from Shaun White, Terje Haakonsen, Natasza Zurek, Gigi Rüf, JP Solberg, Heikki Sorsa, Nicolas Müller, Tadashi Fuse, Frederik Kalbermatten, Jeremy Jones, Jussi Oksanen, DCP, Mads Jonsson, Trevor Andrew, Keegan Valaika, Kevin Pearce, Danny Davis, Kazuhiro Kokubo, Mikkel Bang, Mikey Rencz and Peetu Piiroinen.
