06-07 Dragon Mace Review
0Overall a great goggle, with a decent price. Dragon has exceeded my expectations, and really created a winner here.
Dragon’s new Mace frame is finally a goggle for me. Bigger than many of their recent goggle lines, but with the same sleek look and quality design, the Mace is a perfect fit. Following up on the Foil, the Mace uses Dragon’s curve-corrected polycarbonate lens. This gives it great optical clarity, and looks flashy, but does make the goggle a little stiffer. Dragon has always gotten big points for style, and this year’s Mace is no different. There are tons of colors and patterns to choose from; I’m particularly fond of the Dragon logo print.
These goggles quickly became my pair of choice this winter. I’ve clocked many hours in varying conditions, without even the hint of fog. The optics are great, no distortion visible, and the goggle has great peripheral vision, thanks to the extended frame in the bottom corners. The goggles still look almost brand new, the lens has proven resistant to scratching, the pattern still looks fresh, and the strap is holding up fine. I’m particularly fond of the way the goggle interfaces with most helmets, creating a near seamless fit on everything I’ve tried them on.
03-04 Dragon DXS Review
0These goggles rock!
They’re light, they’re hip, and they don’t impede my vision. I’ve had goggles that cut off my peripheral vision; these don’t. One of the main things that I look for with eyewear is their design and functionality. The DXS looks sweet and fits perfectly with my helmet. Most goggles are made to fit all head sizes but these are specifically made to fit those of us with small heads. The vents above the eyeline keep me from foggin’ up. When I eat it, snow doesn’t get in. I dig these.
