01-02 Dahlgren Snowboard Review

A great new sock from a company who specializes in performance socks.

Warm, comfortable, and thin, these socks are great for snowboarding. The ankles have extra support knit in, and the top of the sock has a tight section that ends just above your calf to prevent the sock from slipping down. I’ve worn these socks for everything from hiking and riding, to just lounging. They are so thin and light weight that you don’t even notice they are on, but they still keep your feet warm. The one thing that the sock lacks is built in forward lean, but even without, the sock doesn’t bunch in the front of your ankle.

Keep your feet happy in these socks.

The first thing that comes to mind when I think of these socks is how SOFT they are. They are soft, thin and very comfortable. Don’t let the “thin” turn you off. Once Alaska’s ski areas close we all go out and hike the jumps and the hill. I often come home at the end of the day with at least one sore/ rubbed spot on my foot. When I wore the Dahlgrens I didn’t notice my feet at all- and I hiked a substantial distance in them (not only just hiking jumps but also from the bottom of the resort to the top, about a 15 min. hike). My feet had no problems, they were not sweaty, they were not too hot (but warm), they were comfortable and not noticing them is a good thing when doing a lot of hiking and riding.

They are tall socks, reaching around mid-calf to knees, and they have a lot of support. They do not fall down. Different sections of the sock have different knits in order to give different kinds of support where necessary. The price is seemingly expensive for a pair of socks, but they are slightly lower than other brand’s.
