Winter Park to Open Tomorrow November 14th

WINTER PARK, COLO., November 13, 2007 – Starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14, Winter Park Resort will open for its 69th season as the oldest continually operated ski resort in Colorado. In the coming months, guests will witness Winter Park Resort transform into a new modern resort with an investment of $8 million in on-mountain improvements including two intermediate trails and more than 100 acres of newly enhanced glades in addition to two new residential offerings of 194 units and a 287-parking space facility located minutes from the lifts. Construction is also near completion with the Panoramic Express, North America’s highest six-person, high-speed chairlift located at Mary Jane Mountain. The lift will speed guests up 12,060 feet to the top of the Parsenn Bowl. (more…)

Ride’s “I Love Ride” Tattoo Party in Denver, CO

Who wants a free snowboard? What are you willing to do for it? Give up a spot on your body for some new ink? Its simple enough, just tattoo “I Love Ride” anywhere on your body and walk out with a brand new ’08 snowboard. The 20 Ride fanatics that qualified thought that was a fair trade. There was a buzz around the Thrifty Stick Boardshop, as people watched the “victims” get their ink from the guys at Purple Lotus out of Silverthorne, CO. Purple Lotus drew up some cool designs for this year, a skull with the Ride logo, a heart with a banner, a snowboard and the classic “I Love Ride” script. (more…)

It’s looking great here at Loveland Ski Area. The storm that moved in Saturday night left us with over a foot of fresh snow. As you can see on the photo page, our new snowcats are out on the trails and you know that means-opening day is on it’s way! Over 8″ of Snow Falls in Breckenridge, 7″ at Keystone and 6″ at Vail and Beaver Creek

Skiers and snowboarders in Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone woke up to winter this morning. As of 10 a.m. on Sunday morning, Breckenridge had more than eight inches of snow in town with even more snow on the mountain. Keystone was reporting seven inches at mid-mountain snow stakes with six inches falling at Vail and Beaver Creek. The snow continues to fall and the Colorado mountains are under a winter snow advisory until 6 p.m. this evening. The forecast calls for snow through Monday afternoon with another storm predicted for the end of the week. (more…)

Aspen/Snowmass, Colo – The Aspen/Snowmass Classic Pass will go on sale Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Boulder Ski Deals in Boulder, Colorado. The pass is good for skiing and riding on any of the four mountains at Aspen/Snowmass – Snowmass, Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk – with no blackout dates.
