Mountain High Welcomes New Additions to Marketing Department
0Wrightwood, CA (October 2, 2008) – Mountain High is pleased to welcome Kim Hermon and Laura Johnson to the marketing department for the 2008/09 winter season. Hermon has recently been named senior marketing consultant for Mountain High and will assist the marketing department in all functions. Johnson will manage day-to-day marketing operations, in addition to all public relations and communications functions, in her role as marketing manager.
Prior to joining Mountain High, Hermon had been sales director for five years and most recently assistant director of marketing for five years at Big Bear Mountain Resorts, Bear Mountain and Snow Summit, in Big Bear Lake, California. During that time, she worked vigorously to gain well-rounded experience in a broad area of resort business. (more…)
New at Heavenly for 2008-09
0South Lake Tahoe, Calif./Nev. – October 1, 2008 – Three new trails, on-mountain lodge renovations, radio frequency ticket technology and a major trail re-grade headline resort improvements Heavenly Mountain Resort announced today for the 2008-09 season. Under Heavenly’s 10-year master plan approved in April 2007, guests can look forward to new lifts, new on-mountain restaurants, new lodging and base villages that will greatly improve the overall experience at Lake Tahoe’s leading destination resort.
“The debut of Olympic Express and the Heavenly Flyer ZipRider last season set Heavenly apart as the next great destination resort,” said Blaise Carrig, Heavenly’s chief operating officer. “This winter guests will expect more improvements including new gladed trails in Ski Ways and the re-grading of Skyline Trail, which is the biggest little project at Heavenly in terms of its positive impact on the guest experience.” (more…)

$1.5 Million in Capital Investments Raise Guest Experience at Mountain High
0Wrightwood, CA (September 22, 2008) – Rolling off last year’s success, Mountain High has made more than $1.5 million in capital investments for the upcoming winter. With an eye toward improving the guest experience, Mountain High has completely remodeled Big Pines Lodge, increased snowmaking capacity by up to 40%, introduced new tubing lanes, added two park-specific snowcats, and increased Sports School offerings. New For The 2008-2009 Season At Northstar-At-Tahoe
0TRUCKEE, Calif. – Sept. 2008 – Northstar® Resort has invested more than $15 million in on-mountain and village improvements that will benefit skiers and riders during the 2008-09 winter season. Improvements include the extension of ski trails and the express quad lift on Lookout Mountain®-one of the areas of the resort offering advanced ski terrain-new snowmaking systems, tree thinning to make for improved glade skiing, increased lift capacity, and the widening of the ski area boundaries, increasing the resort’s total skiable acreage by 414 acres to a total of 2,904 acres.
