07-08 Burton Glocko Hoodie Review

0

Stripes are the new camo!

This hoodie is awesome! I ordered it from Burton this year. It’s stylish and roomy, pretty heavy but not to cumbersome. I wear it riding by itself on sunny days and under my board coat on chiller days. My favorite feature is the hidden ipod pocket with a Velcro close on the left side. Its perfect for when you ride without a coat so you don’t have to worry about it slipping out and for keeping your ipod warmer (the key to a longer battery)! The only bad part is the stiching on one of my Velcros is starting to pullout.

07-08 Burton Feelgood Review

0

My best purchase this year, hands down! The Burton Feelgood is an amazing all around board!

So after riding my K2 for a few years I decided I deserved an upgrade. Like most females my original attraction to the Burton Feelgood began with a glance. Its graphics pop off the board, it has tons of color and it’s just sick! I would say…Love at first sight! This board is light weight, has great pop, rides smooth and cuts sharp. I could feel an increase in my control and its super forgiving. I love to ride it in the park, especially b/c it’s super light. Matched up with the Burton Triad my combo is awesome, looks great and feels amazing!

07-08 Burton Sapphire Review

Stepping into the Burton Sapphire is like wrapping your foot in a warm towel you got right out of the dryer!

These boots top the list when it comes to feel, comfort and warmth! It took me a bit to break them in but I can ride in one pair of socks and my feet never get cold. In fact sometimes they are almost smoldering! The inside of the boot is covered in decadent blue fuzz, creating a "fur coat" for your foot. The lace up system and new true fit construction help these boots stay tight on your feet and give you great response when riding! Only quam I have run into is with size. Burton seems to run a bit smaller than some other boots I have had, they do pack down about a half size, but be ready for some snugness!

07-08 Burton Expedition Pant Review

I call these bad boys my teddy bear pants. They are warm and fuzzy what more can you ask for!

Riding in North Alaska I am always on the look out for warm base layers that don’t bringing allot of bulk. The Burton Expedition pants are the answer to my prayers! They are thin but oh so warm! I call them my teddy bear pants because they are soft and fuzzy (some sort of micro fleece). These pants are nice and fitted at the bottom (shorter inseam) so they don’t bunch in my boot and don’t add bulk. My only draw back with buying Burton base layers is that mediums don’t seem to cover enough of my booty and larges a bit to much…its a toss up when it comes to size!

07-08 Burton Triad Review

Ride the Burton Triads and you wont be singing the blues you will be praising them!

I was originally drawn to these bindings for their outstanding looks. The color scheme and over all appearance is a real eye catcher. They were the perfect choice for my new set up. They are light weight and super comfy. The extra cushioned base makes all the difference. What I love about these bindings is the fine tuning you can do to tweak them to your perfect stance. No complaints with these babies, except maybe the toe caps (I think its more of a personal issues though). The straps come extra padded which makes strapping in when you first get them a tricky job. But once you break them in….there's no stopping you!

07-08 Burton Custom X Review

The ultimate freeriding deck … not for the faint of heart!

The deck is just sick. It is hard to ride anything else in my quiver after riding this. The flex pattern is stiff, no doubt, and requires speed to get moving, but it is super stable. Like what I imagine a Porsche Cayenne must feel like. Slush, hard pack, glades, even ice … my buddies were asking me how I was holding an edge on a super icy day. It was even decent in the park (although I feel bad taking it in there and don't make a habit of it), stable in the air, and I am still able to ollie on and off features with good confidence. this isn't its forte, but it you can make it work. The only thing that I didn't have that much fun riding was the bumps … the flex pattern is just too unforgiving for that kind of constant jarring. It requires a good amount of time to find how to butter the board (still looking, but it can be done). Basically, go as fast and carve as hard as you like anywhere … the custom x says, "thank you … please go faster."
