Summary:
This attention getting coat is great for all weather and wet conditions.
Review:
Black Dot has come a long ways in the last few years. I remember them as a rather low-end outerwear company, so I was pretty stunned when I took this coat out of its packaging. Technically superior to just about every coat I have worn; Black Dot is definitely in the major-leagues now.
The almost impenetrable outer layer has a slightly rubbery feel to it, and efficiently repels water. There are plenty of zips for venting, and pockets for every kind of situation, including a cd/media player pocket and a shoulder pocket for a season pass. The easily removable hood has a great shape, features a wire in the brim to keep it firm, and is very adjustable.
This is an excellent coat for just about any temp, especially with some layers, and is impervious to most weather conditions. It is quite stylish, and while looks are definitely second to function, the coat does well in both areas.
