Summary:
It is a shell with many features that works great in the wind and weather.
Review:
This is the shell I wear over the Shaggi Snug Vest. The coolest thing about this jacket would have to be the unbelievable amount of pockets. There is seriously a place for everything. I like to bring granola bars, money, id, car keys, chapstick, and sometimes a camera... ya know, all the essentials for riding; and there is plenty of room. There are also zippers under the arms for ventilation, an amazing inovation. This shell is gray and sweat pea. It has a thin lining, so it was warm but mostly killed the wind and kept me dry since the outside is waterproof. Convert also did a great job with the powder skirt. It goes around the bottom inside of the jacket and buttons to tighten it around your waist, on top of your pants, to keep the snow out. There are also places to hook your coat to your pants if you want. It seems like a hassle, but can add some extra protection from powder down your pants or up your back. Also, there's no hood, which I prefer because I never use jacket hoods when riding, I feel like they mess with my peripheral vision. Anyway, this jacket is sweet.

Summary:
This is one piece in an outfit that gives you many options on and off snow.
Review:
This jacket is the perfect match for the Orbital Chill Pant. My favorite feature is the purple shag inside (there are different colors, if purple isn't your thing). It makes for a coat that is much more than a shell and allows you to go without a few of those extra layers. I also really like how the collar may be tightened from the back of the neck and, when used, it is harder to get a neck full of snow. Other features include: pit vents, a shoulder pouch for a radio, as well as an inside pocket for a mp3 player, and a snow skirt that attaches to the pants.

The jacket is waterproof and features Omni Tech Storm-Dry Technology while being breathable, and it is critically seam-sealed and provides protection in wetter conditions.

If you think you might like this coat, treat yourself to the Convert Shaggi Snug Vest, too. The reversible shag vest looks AWESOME with this coat/pant combination. I found that one long underwear shirt and the vest underneath the coat was all I needed for most days. See the review for the vest if you are interested in more details. Combined with the Trail Ride Beanie in color Delphinium and the Formulator Mitt in Grey Ice, the Convert gear makes a serious fashion statement: Pro. When we were at the Breckenridge Triple Crown and I wore the whole outfit, people kept saying "So, where did you place?" thinking that I was a competitor.
