Summary:
While the price tag may seem high, the truth is that this is the start of a revolution in snowboard boots. They are light, comfortable, and very, very good. In many weeks of testing I have had no complaints about these boots, and they outperform anything I have ever worn in almost 10 years of riding. I think we will have some very interesting boots to try in the next generation of Yotas.
Review:
Thirty Two has really pushed the envelope with their boot line this year. The Yota proves that they can make the best, lightest, and most technical snowboard boot on the market without needing Peter Line's name on them. I bought every model of the Thirty Two PL, and was amazed as they got lighter and smaller every year. The Yota took this a step farther and decided to be the lightest boot on the market.

It is also different from anything you will ever wear on your feet while snowboarding. The Intuition Ultralon liner is so light and comfy that you will wear them as slippers. Thirty Two has (finally) discovered a way to stop heel lift without using inner laces. As you insert your foot into the boot, the liner expands, and once you are in, it contracts around your ankle. The outer laces are then all you need to tighten the boot down. For the first time ever I have been able to easily lace my boots too tight.

The boots are also very space-efficient; in last year's 11 my toes touched the liner, this year's 10.5 give my toes a little bit of wiggle room. Even the outer laces feature innovation; there is a flap of material that stretches and Velcroes over the lower laces to protect and hide them.
