Summary:
The Griffons are being replaced by the Velas next year, so keep an eye out for them as well. If you can get your hands on a pair, have fun, they are long-lasting, comfortable boots!
Review:
It was quite a break in process with these boots, AND WELL WORTH IT. At first rigid and slightly uncomfortable, as all new boots are, within a few days you will be good to go. The inner-lacing system still needs more time and technology, as it is sometimes difficult to get the lacing to stay tight. Once the boot is broken in, the process gets much easier though.
The purpose of the Griffons, in the form of Roberta and Janna's desire for a top performing and light-weight boot, has definitely been met. I was surprised at how small they look yet how roomy they are. Extremely girly and comfortable, the Griffons are made of a triple density foam liner that conforms to your foot. The instant you step into these boots, it is hard to want to come out of them, even after a long day of riding. My feet were warm all day, every day that I rode these boots, quite an accomplishment as my feet are always cold.
These girl's boots have all of the performance points that the Team Twos have, including air pocket heels and kevlar reinforcements, but with the style and flair that says "I'm a girl!"
