Maggie's Review

November 17th, 2003

Summary:
There is nothing about this boot that did not work for me; they deserve a perfect review.
Review:
One day I was standing around, wearing the Velas and someone said, "Man, those look like tennis-shoes!?" The Vela replaced the Griffons, one of the best boots on the market at the time, and is that much farther along in the technology of comfort and convenience. There is no extra bulk to this boot and they are light-weight. Don't let appearance or weight fool you on their performance ability. The second you see one, let alone have it on your foot, you can tell that a lot of time and effort has gone into making a boot that is comfortable, will stay as tight as you want, and is meant for long hours of hard-core riding.

The inner lace up system is easy and stays tight- no small strings that cut into your hands while you try to tighten. It is reliable, quick and combines with the outer lacing to really let you find a comfortable fit. The outer laces have a system that basically has teeth to keep laces tight once you have reached desired tightness. The inner liner is heat-moldable and will conform to the foot.

Physically, these boots are a work of art. With a checkered, woven-cord physique in navy or grey, the overall appearance is very flattering.
