Summary:
This is a highly recommended board; I've been consistently impressed in every type of terrain I've tested it in, from fresh groomed parks to fresh tracks in two feet of Steamboat Champagne.
Review:
As Bjorn says, "If you need a board to do anything in any condition, you should really check out one of mine." After riding Kevin Jones' Jeenyus board I thought that the experienced would never be rivaled. Then I tried Bjorn's. True story, I almost crapped my pants the first time I ''met'' Bjorn. I was taking pictures at the 2001 Breckenridge Grand Prix. On his first hit, Bjorn flew out of the pipe and I seriously thought he was headed my way; he cased the deck two feet down-pipe from me. It was the loudest noise I have ever heard - I had almost been flattened by Bjorn.
Bjorn pushes his riding in every aspect, and so his board performs well in all types of terrain and condition. Forum has always seemed like an over-played marketing ploy to me, or at least that's what I though until I stepped on the BJ 160. I have had a great time playing on this board. The sintered base is fast and hard, and while black marks are super visible against the yellow P-Tex, it doesn't seem to take those marks very easily. Whether you are a jibber, or a jumper, a park fiend or a freeride fanatic, this board will perform equally well for you. A semi-soft nose allows for ample nose-pressing and manuals while still providing plenty of stiffness for landing those huge corked 9's where your nose ends up being your tail. Meanwhile the tail is fine-tuned to perfection for pulling you into the landing and keeping you stable as you pop off lips.
