    Summary:
I recently picked up a 08 forum recon. I bought the 153 wide edition. I have taken it to the slopes a few times and decided it was time to put up a review about this board.
    Review:

For the price of a recon, it is an excelent board. It's very easy to handle. I would say it is more of a freeride board, but that doesn't mean it doens't handle well in the park. The board is directional, but I can still ride it switch fine. The recon has a awsome design on it too. I have a 153 wide edition (black and orange); the non-wides are white in blue, but the designs are the same.

Bottom line: need a awsome all around board for cheap?  Get the Recon, hands down the best bang for your buck you will have ever spent.
