Summary:
On its own it may not be warm enough, but it works well in combination with other tops.
Review:
Though marketed as a mid-weight layer, I would describe this piece as a high-performance lightweight shirt. My favorite way to rock this waffle top is under a t-shirt with a sweater or jacket on top. I like it as a first layer because it is soft, wicks moisture and does not retain odor. But in terms of warmth on an average winter's day, I found myself needing more than just this shirt underneath a sweatshirt and shell. It compliments my normal get-up when I need extra layers because it fits under other shirts well.

Summary:
Underlayers are essential in any outdoor sport, so why not get some that are cute?
Review:
The waffle-textured fabric allows heat to remain close to the body. And trust me, as a girl who is always cold, you really do notice a difference. It wicks the moisture away during athletics and keeps you warm, not wet! Besides snowboarding, I also wore this shirt running in the snow and was glad it kept me dry.

First impression is everything, it's gotta look good for me to purchase it, I don’t care HOW functional it is! This passed my look test. I love Hot Chilly’s neck designs because you can wear them as a shirt not an underlayer.
