Summary:
This goggle is a very top of the line goggle, and has all the features you would expect to find. $120 is a lot to drop on eyewear, but the Vent is definitely worth it.
Review:
Having seen the ads I thought I was prepared for the awesome look of the Version Vent goggles. I was still blown away by the style that these goggles ooze. The first impression of the lens is that it looks a lot like Oakley's curved lens. Aside from that, this goggle doesn't look like anything ever made before. The goggle has super aggressive lines that practically shout "I am going to stomp on you" to every landing you look at. The goggle turns heads too; everyone who sees them will ask you what you are wearing.
I was tempted to give these goggles a full 10 right out of the box, without even trying them on. However, the deciding factor in buying goggles shouldn't be how they look, but how they perform. So, I excitedly tried them on, and took them out for a ride. This led to my second discovery: the Version goggles are not only good looking, but damn comfortable too. An ultra soft layer of "tri-density V.Mesh" sits between your face and the foam, wicking away sweat and keeping the goggles more comfortable. Even after wearing the goggles all day hiking and riding, they felt just as comfortable as when I first put them on. The lens is very optically clean, and I had no issues with fogging. The design of the goggle creates a high pressure area at the sides of the goggle to help pull the air through the lens, defeating fog. Among the great features that Version has included is the clip that allows you to detach the strap, making it super easy to fit over a helmet.
