Summary:
Priced at almost half of the other big videos, 411 Snow #4 is well worth $16.95. Also, if you missed issues 1, 2, and 3, they are available in a box set for dirt cheap.
Review:
This is an unexpected hit video. The 411 series is well known in the skate scene for producing great skate video mags. Last year they hit us with 411 Snow #1, and followed up with #2 and #3. All were good videos, and they got better each issue, but they weren't really outstanding. However, 411 got it dead on with #4, and it's fun from start to finish. The Issue #4 features include the Profile of Gian Simmen, Day in the Life with Travis Parker, Main Event at Baker Banked Slalom, Contest at Tyrol Spring Jam, On the Edge with Matt Perterson, Guest Edit by AOD, and Spot Check at Boarderline Snowboard Camp.
The video showcases great cinematography, excellent editing, great riders riding at great locations, music that fits what's going on, and even a glimpse of one of my favorite resorts, Alyeska during the Boarderline Spot Check. In my opinion, the best clip of the whole film is actually the Burton ad. This video is worth buying just to see the ad.
