Summary:
I am encouraged to see that there are some different shape/ length pants on the market (not your normal straight-cut pant) that will definitely fit other body types different from mine. These pants definitely have a place for a short female rider.
Review:
These are highly waterproof, comfortable pants but I found these pants to be too short in length and whenever I wore them riding they did not properly cover my boot. My dislike was only cosmetic (length) but I didn't like always sporting so much gator. My conclusion to their fit is that they would work well on a shorter person with bigger hips.
Aside from the length, I really liked the look and feel of the pants. They are thicker, more padded and, therefore, a lot warmer. Even in cooler weather you won't need to double up on long underwear layers. You could even get away with shorts as an under layer on a warm day. The vents, also handy for heat-elimination in conditions that do not require as much protection against cold, cut diagonally across the thigh resulting in a plain but catchy look.
They are made of a very soft material, ride higher up on the waist, and can be tightened with Velcro straps. Though fit wise they eliminate the average 5'5"/ 130 lb. girl, I found that quality construction went into the overall design of these pants.
