07-08 Hot Chillys Peppers Baseball Crewneck Review
0Soft, cute and warm.
The scoop neck, long length, soft inside and cute prints make this a very pleasing mid-temperature base layer. It also works well with other layers and is very wearable off-slope. It wicks moisture but can get stinky by the end of the day or after several days of wearing it. So, as long as you wash it regularly you are good to go and your friends won’t stop asking you to apre-ski activities.
07-08 eesa Front Review
0It is one bold, eye-catching base layer!
My first love of this shirt was the map of South America on the right shoulder with additional world map extending onto the back. It is clean cut, has bold lines, and buttons all the way up. There is attention to detail in button placement, cuff size and side slits.
07-08 eesa eesa Patchwork Review
0It isn't like dragging your cuffs along will prevent you from hitting kickers, anyway.
I didn’t know how I would like the patchwork look of this shirt when I first saw a picture of it. But when it was in my hands and on my body, I found that I really like the cut of the shirt, which is more of a jazzed-up rugby shirt and less like the generic, western-type first appearance.
The Patchwork really is different from some of the others in the eesa lineup. The collar and cuffs are a faux-sued and totally awesome… Well, like/dislike on the cuffs. They are slit, with no way to fasten them closed, that goes up high above the wrist so the cuff hangs open. But there is a finger loop-hole that keeps it next to your hand. So, if you are lighting candles, eating spaghetti, painting or anything else where it isn’t ideal to have a floppy cuff, it is a challenge. If you want a new, really hot cuff that plays off the whole thumb-loop trend that is prevalent in the snowboard industry, this shirt is rockin!
07-08 eesa Chucker Review
0Love this shirt!
This is one of my favorite eesa shirts. It is a simple, streamlined collared shirt that is perfect for many situations. You wouldn't believe it is a technical base layer. It works on or off hill, and can be used to look more professional or very chill. It goes really well with a shirt that is the color of one of the accent stripes underneath. Like all eesa shirts, the buttons, stitching, inside collar/ cuff lining, and outside of the cuffs themselves all have thought put into them. Unlike the Klick where the size medium did not fit me well in the torso, the Chucker has more length and width in the middle without being excessive.
07-08 eesa Klick Review
0It is better as a regular shirt than a performance piece for snowboarding in.
Two components make this my least favorite piece out of Eesa’s collection. I don’t like the stitching on the front that just looks like pockets, and the torso of the shirt is very short.
While the body of the shirt is less functional, I thnk the arms are a great length and love the long and elegant button up cuffs. Minus the distracting pocket stitching, the shirt’s materials and detail are well thought through. It has cute little slits up the side that are accented with eyelets, a heavy hem line around the bottom of the shirt, and the inside collar and cuff print shows that attention was put not only into the outside, but inside as well.
07-08 Eurosock Board Supreme Sock Review
0A warm, fast drying and comfortable sock, I wear these for days at a time!
The first day I wore these socks riding I was amazed at the over the calf (OTC) stay power these had. Many other socks I have tried always seem to end up bunching between my calf and the top of the boot. The Euros stayed put, just below my knee cap for the duration of the day ensuring lasting comfort. And after day two and three (in a row) of riding with the Eurosock, my feet were happy and comfortable til' last chair!
Made in Italy, the manufacturer utilizes the insulation and wicking properties of MicroSupreme™ fibers providing an ideal moisture management system to keep your feet dry all day. Available in a plethora of sizes, weights and colors your local board shop should have the Eurosock for you. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed!
06-07 SmartWool Spectrum Zip Mock Review
0This is a well-designed product. If you have the money it is worth the buy, but it may be off limits to some merely because of the price.
The price on this under-layer is steep, especially if you are poor snowboarder. But, if you have the ability to afford it, it is one of Smartwool’s better pieces. When combined with one more layer such as a sweater or sweatshirt, it provides a lot of warmth. It is a mock turtleneck and zips up from mid-chest to chin. The shirt washes well, doesn’t stink and stays really soft. In feel and look you can tell a lot of thought went into it. I really like the ribbed sides because they make for a more personal fit while giving it a tailored appearance. It doesn’t look like it has just been cut out of a bolt of cloth. My favorite part is the reinforced thumbholes.
06-07 Hot Chillys Waffle Review
0On its own it may not be warm enough, but it works well in combination with other tops.
Though marketed as a mid-weight layer, I would describe this piece as a high-performance lightweight shirt. My favorite way to rock this waffle top is under a t-shirt with a sweater or jacket on top. I like it as a first layer because it is soft, wicks moisture and does not retain odor. But in terms of warmth on an average winter’s day, I found myself needing more than just this shirt underneath a sweatshirt and shell. It compliments my normal get-up when I need extra layers because it fits under other shirts well.
