06-07 Head PX5 Review
An incredibly solid freestyle binding. Lightweight, high-performance, and super stylish.
Head’s PX binding series is an example of how bindings should be designed. The PX5 is a lighter and softer compared to the PX5, making it ideal for the world of freestyle.
Once the PX5 is mounted to your board, you can take advantage of completely tool-free adjustments, like forward lean, which is adjusted using an innovative system where both the heelcup and the highback move together. A few of the top-end features you’ll find on the PX10 have been left out, but the PX5 still has all the important ones.
The straps are super comfortable, and are flexible enough to let you really tweak grabs. Head’s ratchets are super smooth, you’ll find yourself playing with them at first just because they’re so rad The bindings have a nice mellow toe ramp that helps to put the hammer down while still feeling stable as you ride into bigger kickers. The “Auto Open” straps are quite possibly one of the best additions to bindings, ever.
If you’re looking for new bindings, check out Head’s offering, and you’ll see why they’ve got everyone saying “I love Head!”
