Burton Snowboards And Ally Distribution Launch “thanks In Advance†Double Dvd
Burlington, VT (February 6, 2008) — Burton Snowboards and Ally Distribution today announced the global launch of “Thanks In Advance,†the Burton team video. The two-disc DVD will feature never-before-seen footage of Burton team riders, filmed as they circled the globe in 2007.

“Each season our crew logs insane amounts of footage from all over the world. Boiling it down to a 30 minute all-bangers video is always a challenge for us†said Rene’ Hansen, Senior Global Director of Brand/Media/Team. “By releasing a double disc edition of TIA we are able to give viewers a taste of the behind-the-scenes moments that never made it to the final cut. It’s like pulling back the curtain on the wizard of oz, except you get to see way cooler shit then some old man at the controls. It’s like having a peep-hole into the world of our shredders and we’re happy to give the viewers a little taste of what it’s like.â€
Footage from the film includes some of the best days of riding last winter, including coverage of the snow-choked terrain of Greenland, Japan, Switzerland, New Zealand, as well as U.S. coverage of Alaska, Washington and the post-blizzard streets of Denver. “Thanks In Advance†also takes a look at Burton’s “Get Off On The Bus†tour, a cross-country trek with Mason, Danny, Luke, Jack, Mikey and Kevin. The film offers a first-hand glimpse of what its like to shred the pipe from Shaun White’s POV as he drops in with the camera in hand. “Thanks In Advance†also features: Terje Haakonsen unleashing the highest QP air in history during The Arctic Challenge; Tadashi finessing his way through backcountry slides in Whistler; a North Cascade heli mission with Terje and Nicolas Müller; jibbing with Jeremy Jones; a trip to Saas Fee with Frederik Kalbermatten’ and Alaskan kickers with Danny Davis and Romain De Marchi. “Thanks in Advance†is all about the stoke snowboarding gives us.
The “Thanks In Advance†double DVD is available through Burton (www.burton.com) and at Burton Flagship stores worldwide and at select retail outlets) and Ally Distribution (www.allyvideo.com) for $24.99.
