LAS VEGAS, NV (January 27, 2009) – On the eve before the SIA.09 Snow Sports Trade Show doors officially opened, retailers and media were given an exclusive fashion preview at the Mandalay Bay’s Beach Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Retailers and media mixed, mingled and caught a sneak peek of the hottest fashion trends, colors and textures for Winter 09.10.

Throughout this week’s four-day trade show, SIA.09 will draw an estimated 20,000 attendees including manufacturers, retailers, reps, resorts and over 100 of the world’s top snow sports athletes. With 348,000 net square feet and 800+ brands exhibiting in 3479 booths – SIA.09 is THE Show for the snow sports industry.

In honor of SIA’s last year in Vegas, a 100 foot long “Memory Wall” — a living, growing art installation — including news clippings, vintage photos and momentos from the past 37 years is on display in the Show Lobby. Attendees are encouraged to be a part of SIA’s 37 years of history in Vegas by stopping by and leaving their mark on the Memory Wall. Retailers, exhibitors, retailers and athletes have been spotted adding their signatures, words of wisdom, stickers and photos to the collage of memories. Each evening, the Memory Wall will be a gathering spot where SIA will provide entertainment, beers and a place to meet up with old friends, share stories and build new relationships.

Tonight the industry will gather for a classic Vegas farewell at Rain in The Palms Casino Resort. Perry Farrell, from Jane’s Addiction, Porno for Pyros and Satellite Party, will perform live followed by his globally known style of spinning. Tickets are free to all SIA Show attendees with a $20 charitable donation at the door. Party sponsors include; SIA, Burton, GORE-TEX, SKI, Transworld Snowboarding, Corona, IZSTYLE, Red Bull, Palms Casino Resort.
