New Warren Miller ski film offers groundbreaking 3 minutes of snowboard footage
Winter is almost here, and like clockwork, so is the 62nd Warren Miller Entertainment film. “Like There’s No Tomorrow” premieres at the Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City, Utah, at 6pm on October 14th.
The good news is that this year’s token snowboarder is US Olympic Boardercross racer Seth Wescott. Seth is best known for his impressive Olympic gold medals for boardercross, so this is a great opportunity for him to show off on a gorgeous bluebird day in Alaska.
All sarcasm aside, I am actually looking forward to seeing Tim Durtschi’s part as well. I coached with Tim a couple of years ago at the Alyeska Summer Camp, and was impressed by both his skiing and his coaching ability.
Bottom line is that it’s a ski flick that usually showcases a couple minutes of decent snowboarding. This years’ segment should be worth watching. If you want to check it out, the premiere’s a usually great places to pick up some swag, enter in contests, and maybe get a few free days of riding, depending on which premiere you hit up.

This season’s Warren Miller Entertainment film will be premiered in Salt Lake City, Utah at Abravanel Hall on October 14, 2011, in partnership with Visit Salt Lake. The World Premiere of Warren Miller’s . . . Like There’s No Tomorrow will kickoff the ski season in Salt Lake and all around North America with the world’s largest action sports film event.
This debut presentation of . . . Like There’s No Tomorrow will be an enhanced rendition of the annual Warren Miller Entertainment experience, as filmgoers will have a chance to meet some of the world’s top winter sports athletes, including Chris Davenport, Seth Wescott, Daron Rahlves, Rachael Burks, Jess McMillan, Brant Moles, Tim Durtschi, Tyler Ceccanti and more. Members of the media will also have a chance to speak with athletes starring in . . . Like There’s No Tomorrow during a preshow press conference, to be followed by a press and industry reception put on by Visit Salt Lake.
Warren Miller Entertainment partners and other Salt Lake ski industry leaders are teaming up to construct a massive Different By Nature sponsor village in the courtyard outside Abravanel Hall, offering film attendees a chance to win prizes, meet athletes and listen to great music before the screening of . . . Like There’s No Tomorrow at 8:00pm.
