Snowmaking is Underway at Sugarloaf USA

CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine – In preparation for the opening of the 2007-08 winter season, Sugarloaf awakened the western mountains of Maine on Sunday with the familiar sound of snowguns echoing through Carrabassett Valley. With temperatures in the low to mid 20s, snowmakers blanketed the Sluice trail under a barrage of snow for more than 18 hours. (more…)

To kick off the season with a bang Pathfinder of West Virginia and the WVU Snowboard Team are hosting a weekend of goodtimes and competition. Wisp Resort is coming with a 12 foot ramp drop in and several jibbing features. There will also be a mini expo of snowboard and ski companies!
