The North Face Masters of Snowboarding is the largest big mountain snowboarding tour in the country, with a prize purse of $45,000 and two new world-class venues
Registration begins Monday, December 15, at 8am MST
Salt Lake City, Utah, December 12, 2008 – Now in its sophomore year, The North Face Masters of Snowboarding (TNF Masters) has become the largest cohesive competitive big mountain snowboarding tour in the country. A three-stop tour, TNF Masters is designed to cater to the motivation, talent and skill of world-class big mountain snowboarders. The 2009 tour visits Snowbird, Utah, Crested Butte, Colorado, and culminates at the ultimate big mountain competition venue of Kirkwood, California. (more…)

Intense Sierra Storm Drops 3 Feet On Squaw Valley USA

[Squaw Valley USA] December 15, 2008- A strong cold North Pacific winter storm continues to fall today, accumulating at a rate of 1 inch per hour, with snow fall totals ranging between 22 and 36 inches at Squaw Valley USA. A winter storm warning is in effect for the Tahoe Basin and the National Weather Service is calling for another 18-30 inches by 10 pm tonight. Continued snow showers are in the forecast through Tuesday of next week (December 23) making for optimal skiing and snowboarding conditions for the holidays. (more…)

DC Team Rider Chas Guldemond On “The Standard Snowboard Show”

Vista, CA…DC snowboarder Chas Guldemond will appear on the “The Standard Snowboard Show” airing Tuesday, December 16th on FUEL TV at 8:00pm ET and 11:00pm ET (5:00pm PT and 8:00pm PT). This fifth season episode will be filled with tons of freestyle footage of Chas as he sessions parks across Tahoe’s North Shore.
Known for his contest prowess, Chas currently leads the Swatch TTR standings following a third place overall finish at the Nissan X-Trail jam in Tokyo, December 12, 2008. With a back-to-back contest schedule, Chas will compete on the Dew Tour, then in slopestyle at the Winter X Games 2009. When he’s not competing, New Hampshire native resides in Truckee, calling Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort his local mountain. (more…)
