Copper Mountain, CO…August 28, 2009…Woodward at Copper offers weekly Fall classes for both kids and adults designed to help participants learn skills in specific areas, such as trampolines, tumbling, Snowflex, and skateboarding from Sept. 8 – Nov. 2. Woodward at Copper is hosting an Open House at The Barn on Sat., Aug. 29 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. to learn more about fall and winter programs and to register for Fall classes. (more…)

Analog’s Design Unlikely Features Contest invites you to create a unique, custom built jib feature. Come up with a totally new idea, or build upon something that already exists. GUNNISON-CRESTED BUTTE, COLORADO (Aug. 21, 2009) — Get into the spirit of autumn with Mt. Crested Butte’s annual Fall Festival of Beers & Chili Cook-Off held on Sept. 12 at the base of Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) ski area. New this year is the Beer & Chili Dash and Dine 10K Fun Run.
Heat up by sampling great chili prepared by area cook-off contestants from noon – 2 p.m., and then cool off with beers poured from noon – 4 p.m. by microbreweries such as Great Divide Brewing Company, CB & Potts, Steamworks Brewing Company, Deschutes Brewery, Sierra Nevada, Smugglers Brewpub & Grille, Bristol Brewing Company, Stone Brewing Company, Odell Brewing Co., The Eldo Brewery & Taproom, Crested Butte Brewing Co., Revolution Brewing, and San Luis Valley Brewing Co.

Professional snowboarders establish the country’s first, independent snowboard training organization with the aim to secure spots on Team USA and contend for medals at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games
(ASPEN, Colo., August 13, 2009) – In an unprecedented initiative, a newly-formed independent group of Champion alpine snowboarders announced today the launch of America’s Snowboard Team® (AST). AST is the first independent, professional snowboard team in the United States created by athletes for athletes. Their mission is to raise the profile of alpine snowboarding and provide a premier training environment for Olympic hopefuls to qualify, and ultimately medal, at the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver, B.C.
