Write Reviews Get Free Swag
5To celebrate the new review system going live we’re giving away all sorts of schwag to anyone who writes reviews.
We have socks and underlayers from Hot Chillys, goggles, watches, bandanas, fleece-lined bandanas, hats, gloves, stickers, wax, dvds, and tons of other stuff.
Here’s how to post a review on SBG:
Open your closet and find some snowboard gear you want to review. This can be just about anything, from boards, boots, and bindings, to outerwear, helmets, and goggles, or even electronics like cameras and music players. We also have a resort review section if you would rather review a resort.
1. First you’ll need to register an account on SBG:
Register Account
Make sure to use a valid email address to be notified if you win.
2. Once you’ve got yourself an SBG review account, go to:
www.snowboarderguide.com/reviews
Choose product or resort reviews.
Navigate through the categories, to the category that best describes the item you want to review.
If your item isn’t already listed, then click “Suggest New Product.” Fill out the details. If you have a picture of the item, go ahead and upload that too, but it isn’t required.
3. When you’re done, hit submit, it will now let you review your item.
Fill out the fields, write your review of the product, and hit submit. You’re done!
4. Reviews will then be moderated by our staff, so they won’t show up on the site right away. Feel free to submit more than one review.
5. Reviewers will receive one entry into our weekly drawing for each review that is accepted by our moderators. In addition, the reviewer with the most accepted reviews each week will also receive a swag bag.
If you have any feedback, positive or negative, on the process. Please drop us a line at info@sbgmag.com or use the Contact Form.

0SBG is living it up in Vegas at the Snowsport Industries of America (SIA) tradeshow. This year’s show has been another great experience. Some things worth mentioning:
- DC has unveiled their new snowboard line
- Skullcandy personnel presented a check to Boarding for Breast Cancer for over $36,000
- We have been checking out all the up and coming 2008-2009 lines (some of which are really fresh and different while others are somewhat same ‘ol…more on this later)
- SBG has set up several interviews that will be posted on the site within the next few months
Other big news for SBG directly involves Y-O-U, the reader. After numerous delays, the new review engine is live and you can join us in posting reviews of both hard and soft goods on the site. Instructions will be posted soon after we return from Vegas, along with several contests, promotions, and product giveaways.
SBG’s New Review System is LIVE!
1That’s right, the new Snowboarder Guide review system is now fully operational.
Over the next week we’ll be posting instructions on how to post your own reviews. A forum account will be required to post reviews, so while you’re waiting on the review posting instructions, head on over to the Forums to register a free account.
If you run into bugs in our new look or in the review system please drop us an email through the contact form.

0If December ’07 didn’t bring you enough snow, then January ’08 is sure to promise it. Colorado has been hammered with storms for the past couple of weeks, and resorts have been working hard to finish opening terrain.
After numerous delays, our new review engine is almost ready to go live. As soon as it’s up and running, we’ll start dropping contests and promotions like crazy, so keep an eye on the front page.
The end of January marks the 2008 SIA Tradeshow where we’ll be checking out all of next-year’s hottest gear. Stay tuned for photos and more.

0A four letter word for you. . . S-N-O-W! It’s time. Resorts are opening. Get your stuff ready and make your plans. Use caution when inserting any of this year’s snowboard videos into your DVD player, because you are going to be way pumped up and ready to ride.
In addition to the video reviews that keep rolling in, this month we have added three new interviews that are posted under the Articles section. Snowboarder Guide was able to do a pre-season catch up with Andrew Hardingham, Kevin Sansalone and Andreas Wiig. It is just the beginnging.
