Sugarloaf opens for skiing and riding Nov. 9

CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine - Sugarloaf kicks off the 2007-08 winter season and welcomes skiers and riders back to the slopes on Friday, Nov. 9, more than a week ahead of schedule and with the most open vertical drop in the East. Snowmaking is Underway at Sugarloaf USA

CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine – In preparation for the opening of the 2007-08 winter season, Sugarloaf awakened the western mountains of Maine on Sunday with the familiar sound of snowguns echoing through Carrabassett Valley. Largest single season capital infusion in more than a decade

CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine – Sugarloaf, Maine’s tallest skiable peak and home of New England’s only lift serviced above treeline skiing and riding, has embarked upon the resort’s largest single-season capital expansion in more than a decade. Sugarloaf enters the 2007/2008 winter season with greater snowmaking capacity, enhanced grooming, facility upgrades, and a new learning surface lift.
