Arapahoe Basin ski area opening tomorrow, Wednesday Oct 10

What you read is correct – we are OPENING TOMORROW. Arapahoe Basin ski area officials announced the ski area’s opening day for the 2007/2008 ski season tomorrow Wednesday Oct 10. The Exhibition chairlift will open at 9am and close at 4pm. The ski-pleasure run will be High Noon – an intermediate run (No Beginner Terrain.) Sorry for the short notice, but I am sure your boss will understand why you can’t work… right? Maybe you can tell them you have a fever (a fever to ski!) Ski Resorts Will Be Devastated Without H2B Workers This Season

Incline Village, NV- Tourist destinations such as hotels, casinos, ski resorts in America rely heavily on International workers to fill seasonal positions. There are two types of workers which generally come to America on temporary work visas, Students – utilizing a J1 visa and skilled workers through the H-2B temporary work visa. For the J1 visa, a person must be a full-time, matriculated student at an American or foreign university and must (leave the country, if necessary to) return to school after their winter break is over.
