Norway: The Swatch TTR SIX(6) STAR Oakley Arctic Challenge (TAC) 2008 in Holmenkollen was a success with 7000 spectators, a new competition format and all time high exposure. Unfortunately the Holmenkollen Ski Jump arena will be re-built for the ski world championships in Oslo in 2011. TAC does not have an arena in Oslo for the 2009 season and the organiser is searching a new venue and host resort – in or outside Norway.   Continue Reading »

Oakley Women’s Camp kicked off today in Hintertux, Austria with a star coaching crew of Gretchen Bleiler, Anne-Flore Marxer and Silvia Mittermuller. Each camper was handpicked from her application and interview by Oakley to participate in this 3-day camp which includes riding clinics, spa treatments and, of course, traditional Austrian lodge dinners. The sun is shining, it snowed a couple feet on the glacier this week and the park is perfectly groomed. Within a day, the 3 riders had the girls doing tons of new tricks from alley oops in the pipe to frontside 360’s over the rollers. And, of course, what would this European celebration be without an après dance party hosted by the dancing queen herself, Anne-Flore and a healthy stock of Gretchen’s new favorite drink recently introduced to her by Silvia, the lemonade/beer mixture, Radler.   Continue Reading »
