Winter Park to Open Tomorrow November 14th |
Author: Press Release WINTER PARK, COLO., November 13, 2007 - Starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14, Winter Park Resort will open for its 69th season as the oldest continually operated ski resort in Colorado. In the coming months, guests will witness Winter Park Resort transform into a new modern resort with an investment of $8 million in on-mountain improvements including two intermediate trails and more than 100 acres of newly enhanced glades in addition to two new residential offerings of 194 units and a 287-parking space facility located minutes from the lifts. Construction is also near completion with the Panoramic Express, North America’s highest six-person, high-speed chairlift located at Mary Jane Mountain. Author: Press Release Skiers and snowboarders in Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone woke up to winter this morning. As of 10 a.m. on Sunday morning, Breckenridge had more than eight inches of snow in town with even more snow on the mountain. Keystone was reporting seven inches at mid-mountain snow stakes with six inches falling at Vail and Beaver Creek. The snow continues to fall and the Colorado mountains are under a winter snow advisory until 6 p.m. this evening.
