SIA.09 – 10th Annual TransWorld Riders’ Poll Awards
One of the huge red carpet events of the snowboard world took place during SIA.09. TransWorld hosted their 10th annual Riders’ Poll Awards at The Joint in the Hard Rock Casino on Wednesday, January 28th. The attendance was a who’s who of the snowboard industry, with pros, industry people, media, and other guests, all gathered to see the results of Transworld’s poll.
In a show that was half parody, half wannabe Hollywood, Todd Richards hosted and cracked jokes, while snowboard celebs Jamie Lynn, Tara Dakides, Peter Line, Danny Kass, and the Dingo passed out the trophies.
Travis Rice came out on top with 4 of the 5 men’s awards, and the only one he didn’t take home was Men’s Rookie of the Year which was given to Lucas Debari.
The night was finished off in style with some rock and roll from Kandi Coded, followed by a performance by Tweakbird. Thanks for the great party TWS!
