Salomon Snowboards and Bonfire Outerwear has been putting on the Backyard Bang in Portland, Oregon for a couple of years now, and for Winter 2010 they brought it to Denver, Colorado. The crew closed down a street in downtown Denver, and we were there to capture the fun. (more…)

November 1st, 2009 – Finally, a day on snow! I hit up Loveland with Steamboat friends Dylan, Carly, Doug, and Shay from shayboarder.com. The sky was a deep blue, the sun was out, and the snow was pretty fun. Loveland had two lifts running and a couple of “white ribbons of death” to choose from. (more…)

Part 3 is the final part of the Gore Tour section of Day 3 of 30 Days on the Road. About time, as I need to catch up on everything that been going on since then.

I found the Q&A section extremely helpful in forming an overall picture of Gore. This was some of the “big picture” time, stepping back from the focus on the products and looking at Gore as a whole. This was a lot of talking, so fewer pictures in this section. (more…)

A-Basin Preview for Opening Day 10/9/09

Loveland may have won the race this year with their opening, but A-Basin is starting up their lifts just two days later on Friday, October 9th, 2009 – their earliest opening day on record.

For all your jib junkies, from the sounds of it, A-Basin is going to be the place to be. Their park crew has been putting in the hours to make sure their opening day park is the best yet, including four new features will be installed the first day: a Flat-Down single barrel, a Picnic table, a new Culvert tap, and a small box. Loveland Ski Area Opening Day 2009/2010

The 2009/10 season is officially upon us with the opening of Loveland today.  Thanks to two weeks of snow-making and a good amount of natural snow, this will be the earliest opening day in 40 years. (more…)
