The 2009 Burton Global Open Series- Six Stops, Six Countries

Electric’s Jamie Anderson and Chas Guldemond were crowned the Champions for both men and women overall in the 2009 BGOS. The Burton Global Open Series has six stops in six countries: USA, New Zealand, Australia, Europe, Canada, and Asia. Both Jamie and Chas took home $100,000.00 for winning the most progressive and competitive snowboard series in the world. Jamie and Chas competed at every stop in the BGOS and traveled all over the world to earn one of the most esteemed titles in their Snowboard careers, the 2009 BGOS, Men and Women’s Champion. Electric would like to express our gratitude and congratulations to Jamie and Chas for having the year of their life!

Jamie took a bad fall during the US Open and ruptured her Spleen so she was not on hand to receive her Check and Trophy, Burton made her a big “get well soon” card and some of her competitors and friends were on hand to receive her Award in her place. (more…)

Hundreds of snowboarders and industry heads gathered at the award show to honor the most accomplished rider’s of the year. Winter rolled in! All across North America winter white is falling from the sky. Europe shows snow in the forecast as well. This means chairlifts are begining to turn laps, snowmobiles are getting purchased or serviced and the Volcom shreds are in pursuit.
