Mountain High Joins the Fight Against Breast Cancer
0Wrightwood CA – October 24, 2007- Snowboarders/Skiers at Mountain High will be wearing pink tickets this season. It is not a fashion statement but a statement of survival and hope. The California resort has teamed up with Revlon to raise awareness for cancer research and hopes to contribute more than $100,000 to the cause. Now any guest visiting Mountain High has the option of encoding their lift pass on a customized “Pink Ticket†for just $1.00 more. Mountain High will then match that dollar in a donation to the Revlon Run/Walk for Women, one of the largest fundraising events for cancer research in the United States. (more…)

Ski Utah Hosts Annual Fat Flake Festival – A Flurry of Free Pre-Season Fun
0Salt Lake City, Utah – Ski Utah will host its annual winter kick-off celebration, the Fat Flake Festival (formerly Snow Jam), Saturday November 3, 2007. The event takes place from 4 – 10 p.m. at the Gallivan Center in Salt Lake City. New to this year’s event will be the Monster (Energy Drink) Rail Jam. Alyeska Resort Goes Green
0GIRDWOOD, AK – Alyeska Resort announced today that it was offsetting the carbon footprint of 100 percent of the energy used by its Tram by purchasing 403,200 kilowatt-hours of annual renewable energy over the next ten years. Alyeska Resort’s purchased the carbon footprint offset through a partnership with Denali Green Tag’s Tour Green Program and Bonneville Environmental Foundation’s (BEF) SkiGreen program which provides clean energy options throughout the State of Alaska. “The Denali Green Tag program affords the resort and its customers an opportunity not only to offset much of Alyeska’s carbon footprint, but to do so in support of renewable energy resources right here at home, more specifically the Fire Island wind project,†commented John Byrne, Alyeska Resort owner. “I would like to thank Larry Daniels, Jason Lott, and Rosey Fletcher for bringing this issue to the forefront.
