686® Partners With New Balance® For Limited Edition Collection

Irvine, CA, January 21, 2009 — Westlife Distribution is pleased to announce the pre-release of a limited edition collection featuring 686® and New Balance®. The 686 Times Line is an annual program that began six years ago and is a collaborative effort between 686 and another premium brand to offer entirely new innovations in products.
For the 2009-2010 winter season, with products shipping globally in August 2009, privately held global footwear and apparel company New Balance® and rider owned and operated 686, come together to introduce a winter collection composed of Outerwear, Footwear, Boots and Accessories. The collection is a perfect combination of historical legitimacy, quality craftsmanship, technical wisdom and progressive minimalist design.
“Sneakers have been a part of my life just as much as snowboarding and skateboarding, and I hope to bring to boardsports what New Balance has done in the performance and lifestyle categories,” says Michael Akira West, owner and creative director at 686, “New Balance and 686 share similar backgrounds in quality workmanship, technical fits and being independently operated. Trew Launches Fall 2009/winter 2010 Collection

HOOD RIVER, Ore. (January 19, 2009) – Coming off of its successful TREW RV Tour, TREW is pleased to launch its fall’09/winter’10 outerwear collection to retailers, media and industry insiders at the Outdoor Retailer and SIA Snowsports trade shows, booth numbers BR-609 and F25, respectively.
TREW launched the brand to consumers and select retailers in the beginning of December via an RV tour throughout many western U.S. resorts. Tripp Frey, John and Chris Pew are excited to now introduce the stylish and technical collection to a wider audience of retailers and media at upcoming trade shows. The pieces in the collection are all fabricated with performance-based materials and offered in bright colors all designed to make riding more comfortable, efficient and stylish. TREW uses Gelanots® three-layer laminate fabric on pants and jackets which provides the wearer with 20,000mm waterproof protection and 15,000gm breathability. With advanced binding methods and an extremely flexible, non-porous membrane, Gelanots® laminates offer no delamination and an uncompromising stretch ability that, unlike traditional PTFE membranes, resists tearing and remains waterproof when stretched. In addition to Gelanots®, TREW uses SuperFabric®, a tear and puncture resistant fabric, to reinforce the instep and bottom edge of the pants. (more…)

Check out www.whitegoldsnowboards.com for the first look at the new boards. They are on their way to Whistler now, all the way from Austria. The boards will be here in mid December, just in time for the real winter pow to get here. I got a bunch of boards shipped Fedex to take these shots for the website and get them out on the hill.
