Huntington Beach, Calif., November 9, 2009—Quiksilver today announced its 40th anniversary celebration in Paris, November 20-21, 2009. The event will feature two days of skateboarding, music, art and fashion at the historic Grand Palais–culminating in a Saturday night finale featuring The Quiksilver Tony Hawk Show, followed by a concert with Dead By Sunrise (Chester Bennington of Linkin Park with his newest band) and a late night with DJ Mix Master Mike. Backyard Bang Rail Jam Brings Snowboarding to the City

[DENVER, CO, October 28, 2009] – Kick off the winter season with the 1st annual Denver Backyard Bang Rail Jam, a grassroots snowboarding competition held Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 11 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The Art Institute of Colorado at 1200 Lincoln Street in downtown Denver.
Hosted by Salomon Snowboards and The Art Institute of Colorado, the homegrown rail jam brings the best up and coming pros and amateurs from the Rocky Mountain region and beyond to compete in the heart of Denver’s Golden Triangle District. (more…)
3rd Annual Backyard Bang Rail Jam Keeps the Clouds at Bay

PORTLAND, OR. (Oct. 31, 2009) – For the third year in a row the crew at Salomon Snowboards tempted fate by throwing a rail jam in the middle of downtown Portland during the Rose City’s typically rainy autumn. It didn’t stop Jonah Owen from throwing down hammers in front of the Art Institute of Portland—he pressed and spun his way into first place with Johnnie Paxson in a close second and Austin Sweetin rounding out third.
The vibe was mellow and fun and brought the Pacific Northwest snowboard community together for early season anticipation, proper jibs, frothy beers, free prizes and dance-worthy jams by DJ Wicked. (more…)

The largest big mountain snowboarding tour in North America returns for its third year
SAN LEANDRO, California—October 22, 2009—The North Face, the world’s premier supplier of authentic, innovative and technically advanced outdoor apparel, equipment and footwear, and Mountain Sports International (MSI), North America’s leading developer and producer of action-adventure sports events and programming, today announced The North Face Masters of Snowboarding presented by Primaloft (TNF Masters) 2010 Tour Dates.
In its third year, the largest big mountain snowboarding tour in the country, TNF Masters features a prize purse of $45,000. Taking place at three world-class venues, TNF Masters will return to Snowbird, Utah, January 22-25, and Kirkwood, California, February 25-28. A new stop this year, Crystal Mountain, Washington, will host the tour February 9-12.
