Riders Go Big at PMPS

COPPER MOUNTAIN, CO (Dec. 12) – Canada’s Jordan Phillips and Hana Beaman (Salt Lake City, UT) launched onto the top of the podium for Saturday night’s Paul Mitchell Progression Session at Copper Mountain. A total of 22 male and four female riders displayed their tricks during the Jam Session.

Phillips proved he went the biggest, rocking tricks as he rode down the course. Norway’s Gjermund Braten and Johnny Paxon (Gresham, OR) also landed some sick tricks as they soared onto the podium with Phillips. (more…)

Clark, White, Open Grand Prix With Wins

COPPER MOUNTAIN, CO (Dec. 12) – Olympic Champions Shaun White (Carlsbad, CA) and Kelly Clark (Mt. Snow, VT) were killing it as usual Saturday as they landed runs to finish first at the Sprint U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix – the first of five Olympic qualification events.

Gretchen Bleiler (Aspen, CO) and Louie Vito (Sandy, UT) took the second spots for men and women, and Zack Black (Breckenridge, CO) and Spain’s Quera Castellet were third. (more…)

LOS ANGELES (November 25, 2009) — On Monday, November 30, at 8:00 p.m. EST, the 3rd Annual Supergirl Jam, the top, all-female action sports event series, will air as an hour-long special on FUEL TV. Produced by ASA Entertainment, the show highlights the best moments from the 2009 Supergirl Jam series of events, including: the Supergirl Pro Junior ASP surfing contest and Supergirl Pro-Am Jam skateboard street competition, as well as the Supergirl Jam snowboard rail jam, skateboard street and inline best trick contests. Salomon Pro Team To Appear At Backyard Bang Denver

DENVER, CO. (Nov. 13. 2009) The first annual Backyard Bang Denver is shaping up with a stacked rider list and a forecast that calls for potential snowfall at the first ever downtown rail jam at the Art Institute of Colorado on November 21st at 11am.

Salomon’s Pro team will be in town as part of their Team Tour, hitting local shops from coast to coast. Louif Paradis, Jed Anderson, Chris Grenier, Bode Merrill, Scotty Arnold, Harrison Gordon and Chris Carr will be hanging at the event, while local Pro’s and Ams compete for the first place cash. 2010 Burton Asian Open Snowboarding Championships Cancelled

BURLINGTON, VT (November 11, 2009) – Burton Snowboards today announced that they are canceling the 2010 Asian Open Snowboarding Championships due to scheduling conflicts. After careful consideration, all parties agreed that the timing of the event would not be conducive to the athletes’ already busy schedules, especially in an Olympic year. (more…)
