Incline Village, NV- Diamond Peak has the reputation for being the place to learn to ski and snowboard since its opening in 1966. Beginning in 2007, Diamond Peak became an official Burton Learn to Ride Center. For 2007/08 season, Diamond Peak is pleased to introduce Girls Learn to Snowboard clinics on March 1-2, 2008. There will be two types of clinics given that day; Girls Learn How to Snowboard lessons and an Introduction to the Terrain Park. These clinics are open to girl’s ages 7 yrs old- 16 yrs old and include all-day lessons and lunch on Saturday, March 1st from 10 am- 4 pm. On Sunday, clinics will be held from 10 am- 2 pm, with a Graduation event held afterwards so that the girls participating can show off their skills, followed by an awards ceremony.   Continue Reading »

Vail, Colorado/ USA – February 10th 2008: The Slopestyle portion of the sixth annual Honda Session, a Swatch TTR FIVE(5)STAR Event, went down last night in Vail, Colorado USA. The Session took place under bright lights with the event’s signature pyrotechnics blasting a huge flame into the air as riders hit the last jump. Snowboarder Guide just spent a blustery two days testing 08-09 equipment at the WWSRA on-snow event in Keystone, CO. Strong winds and blowing snow didn’t stop me from getting on some of the boards I have been interested in riding. Unfortunately, due to time and weather, I completely missed several companies.
