WHISTLER, BC, December 3, 2007 – It’s the adrenaline rush of a lifetime. Whistler Heli-Skiing will begin operations on December 8, offering guests nearly 500,000 acres of untracked terrain.

Whistler Blackcomb Peak to Peak

“Our early season powder skiing is some of the best we’ve had in years,” says Doug O’mara, Managing Director of Whistler Heli-Skiing.

Whistler Blackcomb athlete, Jen Ashton, who appeared in Warren Miller’s new ski movie, Playground, went up with Whistler Heli-Skiing last January to film parts of her segment.

“The most memorable moment of filming with Warren Miller was the heli-skiing,” says Ashton. “With all of the early season snowfall and the first blue sky we’d seen in a couple of months, those days of heli-skiing were the highlight of my winter.”

You don’t have to be a professional freeskier to try the adrenaline-packed adventure. Whistler Heli-Skiing offers a variety of packages for ability levels ranging from intermediate to expert. No powder experience is necessary to enjoy the thrill of tracking fresh lines on distant mountain peaks. Professional photo and video services are also provided. Whistler Heli-Skiing also offers $100 off the second day of heli-skiing/riding for those who can’t get enough.

Whistler Heli-Skiing’s season runs Dec. 8 until April 20. For more information, visit whistlerheliskiing.com or call 1-888- HELISKI (435-4754).
