WINTER PARK, COLO., November 13, 2007 - Starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14, Winter Park Resort will open for its 69th season as the oldest continually operated ski resort in Colorado. In the coming months, guests will witness Winter Park Resort transform into a new modern resort with an investment of $8 million in on-mountain improvements including two intermediate trails and more than 100 acres of newly enhanced glades in addition to two new residential offerings of 194 units and a 287-parking space facility located minutes from the lifts. Construction is also near completion with the Panoramic Express, North America’s highest six-person, high-speed chairlift located at Mary Jane Mountain. The lift will speed guests up 12,060 feet to the top of the Parsenn Bowl.

The Arrow and Gemini chairlifts will be operating along with the terrain additions to Dog Patch East (Terrain Park) and part of Sorenson Park (beginner area).

NOV. 17 – Guests may join the Bula Pros (pro skiers and riders) including JF Cusson, Wiley Miller, Colby West, Frank Raymond, Brent Meyer, and JF Fortin that will be demonstrating freeriding tricks.

Early Season Packages:
A) Two-For-One Adult Learn to Ski/Ride Lessons and Two-For-One Beginner Kids Lessons including Lunch, Lift Ticket and Rentals
NOV. 14 – DEC. 14 – Guests may take advantage of early season conditions with super savings from the Ski and Ride School including two-for-one lessons including Salomon Learn to Ski, Burton Learn to Ride and kids’ beginner lessons. Kids Beginner two-for-one lessons are $128 (kids 3-17) and include lift ticket, lesson, lunch and rentals; Adult Learn to Ski/Ride two-for-one lessons are $128 (13 and older).

B) Guests may book by November 19 for slopeside ski in/ski out lodging that includes four nights and three days of lift tickets with a bonus fourth day of lift tickets free starting at $139 per person, per night. Or guests may stay in-town for four nights and receive three days of lift tickets with fourth day free starting at $119 per person, per night. Packages are two bedroom condos with quad occupancy.
