Breckenridge Ski Resort Names Brett Howard New Marketing Director |
Author: Press ReleaseBreckenridge — Oct. 3, 2007 – Breckenridge Ski Resort today announced that Brett Howard is the new marketing director for Breckenridge Ski Resort. Effective immediately, Howard will oversee the resort’s national marketing strategy and business development. This includes national advertising campaigns, sales, online branding and advertising efforts and the resort’s nationally recognized events. As the resort’s senior marketing manager, Howard steps into this role already very familiar with Breckenridge Ski Resort.

Starting in the industry at the age of 14, Howard brings extensive industry knowledge to the marketing director role. In addition to marketing, Howard’s ski and snowboard industry background includes retail, purchasing and merchandising experience at Specialty Sports Ventures. These positions allowed Howard to develop key relationships and partnerships with industry influencers and decision makers, which have proven critical as Breckenridge continues to be on the forefront of industry trends. Serving as a senior marketing manager for Breckenridge Ski Resort for the past four years, Howard has been responsible for the national advertising campaign, serving as a community liaison and working to develop new initiatives and programs that set Breckenridge apart from other travel destinations. In addition, he has built an online brand and presence for Breckenridge Ski Resort, increasing web visitation and sales to put Breckenridge Ski Resort as the most effective web site of all the Vail Resort brands. He also led the re-branding of the Breckenridge’s Ski &Ride School so that it proactively anticipates and delivers on the current and future guests’ expectations.
Howard graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Ramapo College in Ramapo, New Jersey. He will report directly to Lucy Kay, VP and chief operating officer for Breckenridge Ski Resort and work closely with Chris Jarnot, SVP of marketing and sales for Vail Resorts.
