“These films are the most exciting feature length documentaries I’ve seen for their respected sports. We’re excited about the amount of buzz, publicity and industry support that each movie has pulled.” –Ally Distribution LLC company president, Kelly Dole. Each movie documents the impact that both Steve Rocco and Craig Kelly had within their sport’s developing years. Both helped shape the face of each sport that we see today. One through straight in your face nowhere to run techniques and the other through a soul searching adventure to find inner peace in life.

Whytehouse Productions’ THE MAN WHO SOULED THE WORLD documents the story of skateboarding’s most revolutionary figure, Steve Rocco and World Industries, the controversial skateboard company that pushed the limits and transformed the skateboard world by utilizing tactics of manipulation and ambushed the corporate world to rewrite the rules and usher in a new era of skater-owned companies when everyone else told them it could not be done. Steve Rocco, with a little help from his friends - Rodney Mullen, Marc McKee, Mark Gonzales, Jason Lee, Natas Kaupas, Jeff Tremaine and Spike Jonze - created a cultural revolution that changed the face of skateboarding forever.

To the uninitiated, skateboarding is typically viewed as a teenage triviality, a fad or ‘a stage’, but to more than 50 million people around the world it’s a lawless religion to live and die by. The anti-authoritarian counter-culture surrounding skateboarding has had a far-reaching impact on society and generated some of the most unlikely cult heroes of the modern age. This is their story.

Locomotion Films’ LET IT RIDE profiles the life of legendary freerider Craig Kelly, a man whose life inspired us all. In a world of X-Games and multi million dollars endorsements, the fact that Craig talks of spirituality, of the connection between the souls, the mountains and snowboarding should be the first sign that something is going to be different.

Craig Kelly, who held more than 7 World Snowboard Championship titles, eventually gave it all up in order to dedicate his life to big mountain back country riding: and he became the best at it.

With interviews spanning over 25 years LET IT RIDE documents the early days of the sport, the rise of Craig to the top, his worldwide search for knowledge and understanding and his dedication in sharing his experiences in the mountains by becoming the first accredited mountain guide on a snowboard. The mountain that once gave Craig everything in life took it all away the day he was killed in an avalanche on January 20, 2007. This is his story, the life of a man who influenced everyone he came in contact with.
