Newport Beach, Calif., September 24, 2007 – Known as one of Europe’s largest freestyle competitions, this year hosted an impressive list of snowboarders for the Freestyle.ch championships event held in Zurich, Switzerland. In it’s twelfth year, the Freestyle.ch competition was held on September 21-23, 2007, with a huge crowd in attendance to witness the top competitors in skate, snow, skiing and FMX.

Norway’s own Andreas Wiig took his rightful place in the Finals of the Big Air competition. After winning two X Games Gold medals, Wiig has been on the watch list of his fellow competitors as the man to beat. After landing some of the most unique tricks of the competition Wiig walked away with a third place finish. Wiig followed after Stephen Maurer in first and Reto Kestenholz in second.

After the event Wiig commented, “It is always great to compete in Europe and I am happy with the tricks I pulled off today. As the season gears up I just want to continue riding strong.”
