One of the smallest and lightest weight components of your riding attire, goggles have a special ability to determine how fun your day is. Everyone knows it sucks when your goggles fog on a powder day, and you’re stuck squinting at the snow as it stings your eyes. The following goggles were picked based on the use of new ideas and technology to make your riding vision better.

Anon - Anagram (W) |
| PR Blurb: |
Thankfully, women are different than men. And when a woman is serious about her riding she shouldn’t have to choose between a high-end goggle and a women’s specific fit. The Anagram is the answer. Not only have we pulled out all the stops to match feminine bone structure and create the perfect fit, we’ve also loaded the Anagram with all of our high-end features to create the only true top-of-the-line goggle for the woman athlete. Don’t settle, step up. |
| SBG Comments: |
Velvet’s goggle has been the ruling women’s performance goggle for the past couple of years. Anon certainly has the ability to challenge Velvet in the technology department; and our girls loved the way they Anagram fit, so the only question left is how they perform. The girl’s goggle market it still pretty much wide open, but Anon may have nailed it with this one. The Anagram is also available with the Darkslide strap. |

Anon - Halcyon |
| PR Blurb: |
Once again the industry technological leader has stepped up. Last year the Halcyon unleashed Speed Release lens technology on the world. This year we’ve upped the ante with Air Mesh technology. It’s more durable, offers superior ventilation and all that means more time riding. The Halcyon still boasts its Taroidal lens which creates more interior air volume, cuts fog and increases overall optical clarity. |
| SBG Comments: |
Anon goggles are usually right at the head of the pack, and the Halcyon was a proven contender last year. The use of a mesh instead of foam is interesting, and it certainly looks good; it will be interesting to see if it stays unclogged in deep powder riding. It’s worth including in the preview just because of the Darkslide straps. |

Marker - Infinity |
| PR Blurb: |
Marker has changed the rules in goggle design. The Infinity goggle features an exclusive lens retention system that enables us to cut away the entire external goggle frame edge. This is a first in goggle design. We call it Flash Glass. This design provides a wider field of vision and maximizes the internal frame volume for better performance. The Infinity is Marker’s most progressive and technologically advanced goggle. |
| SBG Comments: |
The Infinity is hard to define. It looks odd on paper, but on someone’s head it looks good. Rather than mounting the lens on its outer edge, like most goggles, Marker mounted the lens on its inner edge. This pushes the whole lens out, which results in a field of view that is wider by something like 20%. As you can see by the picture, they definitely look different, and I’m not going to be your style guide. However, if you put aside your doubts, and go try them on in the fall, you’ll understand why I think they are worth including in this preview. |

Smith - Prodigy Turbo C.A.M. |
| PR Blurb: |
The central component in the Turbo C.A.M. Series is Smith’s patented Constant Air Management technology which features a silent micro-electronic fan that runs continuously to draw air out of strategically positioned vents and eliminate lens fogging. The fan can also be set on high power mode to quickly exhaust moisture buildup in extreme weather conditions. Leading the C.A.M. Series is the new Prodigy goggle. Its sleek computer-aided design and spherical lens offers an unsurpassed field of vision. Combined with Smith’s Articulating Outrigger Positioning System, the Prodigy provides for an excellent fit, with or without a helmet. |
| SBG Comments: |
Smith’s new Prodigy goggle is one hell of a nice looking goggle. The factor that made me include it in this preview though, is the inclusion of Smith’s Turbo C.A.M. system. The system has been around for a while, but Smith is only now getting it into a price range that normal riders can consider. The combination of the beautifully designed prodigy with the performance of fan-driven anti-fog control should instantly put this goggle on every rider’s wish list. The Turbo C.A.M. feature is also available in Disciple and Knowledge OTG style goggles. |

Version - SR5 |
| PR Blurb: |
No PR blurb available. |
| SBG Comments: |
When Version showed us this goggle, it was still in a pretty early prototype phase, but man does it look sweet. Version’s Vent goggle was one of the first goggles we reviewed, and we have always been impressed with its abilities to fight fog. The SR5 was designed with the same principles in hi/lo pressure venting, but with a lower profile and a better helmet fit. |
